Signs of Spring and Sweet Sisters

Oh how I love the freshness of Spring. It brings out a different color palette and fun little projects. I've decided to get a jumpstart on some Easter projects. These little containers will be perfect for holding little treats!

I love this little flower heart. I made the little flowers from an old dictionary and them put the finest glitter on them for the special little touch. I'm working on a picture frame to hang it from.

I love making these lil' paper mache birds. I did a few white ones for Silver Bella with the rhinestone necklace. Thought I needed a few more for Spring. The bluebird is so sweet. I used my favorite turquoise leaves for wings and of course mica. Who doesn't love mica??? The nests were made from birch twigs I gathered the other day at Jenn's house. Wish I had one of those trees in my backyard!!! :)

And my favorite....I've been envisioning how I wanted to use this picture for weeks. Came across the picture at my mother-in-laws in a laundry basket of old pictures she's been hiding. No one had ever seen them before.
The sweetest sisters....my mother-in-law and her older sisters taken sometime during World War II. The colors are so soft and perfect. I had this old frame and wedding headpiece forever. Glad I could finally put them to use.
I've got a little more creating to do and then lots of cuddling with baby Peyton. Talk about the sweetest thing around. Joe and I could hold him for hours on end. Joe might be even worse then I am!!!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh Baby.....

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I posted. But good things come to those who wait. Right???Meet the most precious new addition to our family. Mike and Jenn are so amazingly happy.

Let's just say I am one ecstatic Grandma....yes I said that word. Can't believe it's actually coming out of my mouth, but it's amazing.

So much going on the last few weeks. I've got so much to share. Swap pictures, goodies I've been working on and so much more.

But for the moment, I'm just head over heels falling for this little guy.
