Easter Celebration

Thought I'd share a few pics of our Easter Day at my Mother-in-laws.Christina, Steph, Jenn, Baby Peyton, Me and Melissa
Can you tell we're all smiles over this little guy??
Chris and Brian with a little Easter rough-housing. This is usually what they do on a daily basis :-)

The Easter Bunny even brought Peyton his first chocolate sheep. He might not enjoy it but I know his Momma will. We just have a thing for chocolate.....

Mike, Jenn and Peyton

Hope everyone had as wonderful time as we did with our family.
What a glorious Easter.
We have so much to be thankful for.

California Girls

Oh the time I had with these girlies!!!
Spent a few days in California and got to meet up with these fabulous girls.
I met Colleen and Iva on my first Silver Bella trip. I went alone and met them at the airport
on my way to the hotel. They became my pals for the weekend of the show. We've stayed in contact via email and I'm so glad they got to spend the day with me at the Alameda Antique Market. I roomed with Natalie at Silver Bella this year. So happy she made the couple hour trip over to the market too. I'm hoping everyone had a good time. I sure did. It's so nice to get together with girls that "get" your style. I really needed that creative boost.
Thanks girls, you made my weekend.!!!!

Me, Colleen Moody, Iva Wilcox and Natalie Hansen

Isn't this the sweetest? I finally have a crest.

A gift from Natalie when we went to lunch after the market.

Okay...I know hard to make out. I did 2 Easter Swaps and these were my ornies I got. I originally had the first swap hanging on birch branches but they couldn't hold the weight of all my goodies. Still cute though!!

Signs of Spring and Sweet Sisters

Oh how I love the freshness of Spring. It brings out a different color palette and fun little projects. I've decided to get a jumpstart on some Easter projects. These little containers will be perfect for holding little treats!

I love this little flower heart. I made the little flowers from an old dictionary and them put the finest glitter on them for the special little touch. I'm working on a picture frame to hang it from.

I love making these lil' paper mache birds. I did a few white ones for Silver Bella with the rhinestone necklace. Thought I needed a few more for Spring. The bluebird is so sweet. I used my favorite turquoise leaves for wings and of course mica. Who doesn't love mica??? The nests were made from birch twigs I gathered the other day at Jenn's house. Wish I had one of those trees in my backyard!!! :)

And my favorite....I've been envisioning how I wanted to use this picture for weeks. Came across the picture at my mother-in-laws in a laundry basket of old pictures she's been hiding. No one had ever seen them before.
The sweetest sisters....my mother-in-law and her older sisters taken sometime during World War II. The colors are so soft and perfect. I had this old frame and wedding headpiece forever. Glad I could finally put them to use.
I've got a little more creating to do and then lots of cuddling with baby Peyton. Talk about the sweetest thing around. Joe and I could hold him for hours on end. Joe might be even worse then I am!!!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Let's just say I am one ecstatic Grandma....yes I said that word. Can't believe it's actually coming out of my mouth, but it's amazing.

So much going on the last few weeks. I've got so much to share. Swap pictures, goodies I've been working on and so much more.

But for the moment, I'm just head over heels falling for this little guy.
