Signs of Spring and Sweet Sisters

Oh how I love the freshness of Spring. It brings out a different color palette and fun little projects. I've decided to get a jumpstart on some Easter projects. These little containers will be perfect for holding little treats!

I love this little flower heart. I made the little flowers from an old dictionary and them put the finest glitter on them for the special little touch. I'm working on a picture frame to hang it from.

I love making these lil' paper mache birds. I did a few white ones for Silver Bella with the rhinestone necklace. Thought I needed a few more for Spring. The bluebird is so sweet. I used my favorite turquoise leaves for wings and of course mica. Who doesn't love mica??? The nests were made from birch twigs I gathered the other day at Jenn's house. Wish I had one of those trees in my backyard!!! :)

And my favorite....I've been envisioning how I wanted to use this picture for weeks. Came across the picture at my mother-in-laws in a laundry basket of old pictures she's been hiding. No one had ever seen them before.
The sweetest sisters....my mother-in-law and her older sisters taken sometime during World War II. The colors are so soft and perfect. I had this old frame and wedding headpiece forever. Glad I could finally put them to use.
I've got a little more creating to do and then lots of cuddling with baby Peyton. Talk about the sweetest thing around. Joe and I could hold him for hours on end. Joe might be even worse then I am!!!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Let's just say I am one ecstatic Grandma....yes I said that word. Can't believe it's actually coming out of my mouth, but it's amazing.

So much going on the last few weeks. I've got so much to share. Swap pictures, goodies I've been working on and so much more.

But for the moment, I'm just head over heels falling for this little guy.

Just to Share...

Square Bezels with vintage wallpaper
Lots and lots of initial bubbles

Cute little Valentine necklaces

Sorry this one's blurry. I just love these puppies.

Vintage baby book picture and glass glitter necklace

I love this one!!

Love this old pic of my grandparents. The blue glass beads remind me of the old cups they used to use in cafes when I was little.

I love old pics of children. This one is behind a piece of mica to make it look even older.

My other grandparents in a heart shaped bezel.
Something about men in uniform!!!!

I loved smashing this old spoon.

Little girl on her first communion. I have about 5 other bezels with different girls. Must be because I'm Catholic that I just love these pictures.

Little Valentine surprises!!!

Fun little wool batting hearts
Wow, can't believe I finally got a few things up to share. I've got so many other pieces started. I've been working on tons of different bezels..round, oval, hearts, rectangles..Now I just have to decided what to put inside of them.
I've trying a couple different ideas with bezels and twisted wire. Let's just say it's been a little trying. Not quite turning out how I envisioned but I'm not giving up on this one.
I have lots of paper mache birds that are just awaiting coats of paint. I'm hoping to get to those this weekend.
Now that I've shared with you maybe I can motivate myself to work on Etsy. Wish me luck!!!
Have a great weekend.
